go Pass Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

go Pass cardholders have been using their smartphones and Apple watches to lock and unlock doors remotely for some time. For an optional higher level of security, we have utilised the BLE technology in ioSmart readers to ensure the go Pass cardholder is physically by the door. EntraPass operators can choose to ignore BLE technology, enforce BLE, or use a combination of both when appropriate. For more information, see go Pass tab, Configuring Specific Controller Parameters, and Reader Templates.

go Pass multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication is now available for go Pass cardholders presenting at a door with an ioSmart reader. In addition to the existing card and PIN authentication, biometric data can be used as a second form as authentication. The type of biometric used depends on the type of smartphone you own, and operators can turn multi-factor authentication on or off, on an individual door basis. To cater for every requirement, choose to use card access and go Pass, or go Pass only. go Pass only disables the reader and forces multi-factor authentication. For more information, see Defining Door Options for Controllers and the KTES.

Integration of DSCs new PowerSeries Pro intrusion panels

EntraPass integrates with the new PowerSeries Pro intrusion panels from DSC. Both the HS3032 and HS3128 panels use Type 2 encryption, where existing HS2xxx panels use Type 1 encryption. To see new panels and existing panels listed according to their encryption types, go to the Device function in EntraPass, and click Integrated Panel. The new PowerSeries Pro only uses Type 2, and existing panels can choose either Type 1 or Type 2 encryption technology.

EntraPass web

EntraPass web has been redesigned and redeveloped to deliver a more streamlined improved user interface. Silverlight is no longer an installation requirement, and downloading a system to your local machine is a simple two-step procedure. For operational speed, graphical icons are intuitive, tabs replace the dock views, and the system remembers the position of the last opened screen. Setting up hardware components is simplified by a sequential column layout. The logical visual architecture makes monitoring and changing the hardware configuration direct.

The popular feature action scheduler has been added to EntraPass web. Once you apply full access to the operator in EntraPass workstation you can use EntraPass web to create one-off actions, or recurring actions.
